How do you pursue your passion?

I pursue my passion in four easy steps: Make a deliberate decision to practice and get better. Constantly challenge myself to hone my abilities. Actively seek feedback from others. Repeat.

What do you bring to the table?

To add to our already strong team, I bring professional experience in global markets in engineering and business, the guidance of once being a student-athlete, and the enthusiasm to want to help the next generation of student athletes.

What advice would you give your 13-year-old self?

Hey Lil Sean, it’s me Big Sean! Aside from buying stock in AOL, Yahoo and Apple, here’s some advice from old me to young you:

  1. Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone. Seize these opportunities, they will help you to grow as a person and learn about who you really are.
  2. Try harder in school. Don’t wait until half way through college to apply yourself. Believe in your potential, and take over the world.
  3. Work smarter. You’re going to work yourself to death sometimes. But the truth is, hard work doesn’t always guarantee you success. Be the guy that finds a smarter, more efficient way and apply yourself.
  4. Read # 2 again.
  5. Be patient. In the end everything’s going to be ok. So if you look around and things aren’t ok, keep your head up, it just means that it’s not the end.
